Toyota rolls out 55 hybrid green cars for India Africa summit

In order to provide transportation to dignitaries during the third India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is all set to roll out 55 Camry hybrid green cars, according to IANSagency. This move is said to have come right after Mercedes-benz rolled out their 55 top of the range E 250 CDI luxury sedans which will be used by the visiting foreign dignitaries of ministries including the head of states, presidents, prime ministers and top diplomats.
The summit is scheduled to happen between October 26 and 29 in New Delhi, where heads of the state and the government from most of the continents 54 countries would be attending. 
N Raja, senior vice president and director, sales and marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motorsaid, "Last month, during his visit to India, our chairman, Takeshi Uchiyamada, had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This meeting initiated our support to the 3rd India African Summit and we are glad to take this association forward."
These cars are going to be first of its kind to be manufactured locally.
Raja told IANS that these hybrid vehicles will have a positive impact only if they are widely used and it is Toyotas endeavour to educate and encourage the use of strong vehicles in India.
